v0.4.2 Alpha

All patch notes

๐Ÿฆ Banking

The old bank is gone and Fleeca replaces it. Your money hasn't moved. Nothing was reset.

  • Bank cards: every character gets a free debit card on their next login. Set your PIN the first time you use an ATM. Three wrong PINs block the card, and the ATM keeps it.
  • Branch tellers: deposit and withdraw cash, open accounts, order cards, change your PIN and apply for credit
  • ATMs: card + PIN for everyday banking
  • Online banking: /banking (needs a phone), or the new Fleeca app from the phone's App Store
  • Credit cards: your credit score (300-850) decides whether you're approved and which card you get. You get a statement every week, and there's no interest if you pay it in full on time. Paying late costs a fee and points off your score.
  • Pay by card in shops instead of cash
  • Crypto: a few coins trade on an open market. What moves them is up to you to figure out.

๐Ÿš— Driving

  • Real gearboxes: every car now has an engine, gearbox and clutch simulation running on top of the handling model
    • Every car leaves the factory with an automatic or a manual gearbox. Older cars are more likely to be manual.
    • Manual cars only shift when you do: Mouse 5 up and Mouse 4 down (U / J also work). Shifts are rev-matched.
    • Mechanics can convert gearboxes, including to dual-clutch and sequential
  • Model years: traction control (TCS), stability control (ESC) and a rev limiter come as standard on newer cars and can be fitted to older ones. A car with no limiter can over-rev, and holding it there costs engine health.
  • Vehicle panel on I: click the doors, hood and trunk on a top-down view of the car, change seats, work the windows and extras, flip the car while on foot, and switch TCS / ESC off (if fitted; driver only). It replaces the radial Vehicle menu.
  • Performance rating (PP) for every car, shown at the dealership and in the workshop
  • Stock cars are faster, up to a 150 mph cap. Upgraded cars have no cap.
  • Crashes hit harder: impacts push and spin a car from where it was hit, T-bones can roll it, and every car takes more damage
  • Less understeer on the throttle, and the wheels stay turned when you get out
  • Nitrous and anti-lag finally work
  • Repair kits: anyone can use a plain repair kit at the bonnet to patch up an engine well enough to get going. The advanced kit is still for mechanics only.

๐Ÿ Dealership

  • Talk to the salesperson to browse. No more hunting for a prompt in an empty showroom.
  • New step-by-step spec sheet: Overview (PP, 0-60, top speed), Paint, Options and Purchase
  • Options: choose the gearbox and add driver aids before you buy, and see what they do to PP and 0-60
  • Sell or trade in: the salesperson makes an offer on a car you've parked outside. It depends on mileage, part condition and damage, and any finance you still owe is paid off out of it. Trade-in credit comes off your next car.
  • Sell to another player: hold Left Alt on the buyer and pick Sell a vehicle (your car has to be nearby). Choose the car and a price (0 makes it a gift). The buyer gets a bill of sale with the car's details and has 60 seconds to pay by bank or cash. Keys and ownership transfer automatically.

๐Ÿ”ง Mechanics

  • Workshop redesign: parts are grouped by system (Engine, Drivetrain, Brakes & suspension, Wheels & tyres, Tuning, Bodywork, Paint and more), with search, an explanation of every part, and before/after PP, power, 0-60 and top speed
  • Upgrade prices are cut to roughly a quarter or a third of what they were (LS Customs too), so everyday cars are worth tuning
  • Performance now comes only from real parts. GTA's level 1-4 upgrades are gone from the mechanic workshop.
  • Billing tablet app: bill any player within 10 m. Paid invoices go to the company account, and the mechanic takes a 30% commission.
  • Deposit your own cash or bank money into the company account from the tablet
  • New parts: gearbox conversions, TCS / ESC / rev limiter modules and launch control

๐Ÿš“ Police

  • 28 new ERS callouts, ranging from noise complaints and welfare checks to calls you'd rather not be sent to
  • AI backup now comes from your own department (LSPD, LSSD, BCSO and SAHP, with air support for SAHP)
  • ERS-issued gear (weapons, ammo, cuffs, radio, armour) is handed back when your shift ends
  • Patrol cars carry first aid and evidence bags in the glovebox and a repair kit in the trunk

๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ Witnesses 2.0

  • Witnesses describe suspects in more detail, report more kinds of crime, and keep updating the call while they can still see you
  • They also remember what you looked like and what you were driving. Wearing the same outfit, or driving the same car, later on might not go well for you.
  • Victims can give a statement with /reportcrime
  • AI traffic moves over earlier for emergency vehicles on the freeway and holds freeway speed (no more slowing to 35 under overpasses)

๐Ÿš‘ EMS

  • Clocking in at the hospital starts your ERS ambulance shift, so taking the stretcher in and out works
  • Ambulances are stocked with every EMS supply on your first on-duty drive
  • Injury cards: a status check lists each injury: what caused it, where it is, how bad it is, what it does to you and what treatment it still needs. You get a card the moment you're hurt ("Shot in the left leg").
  • Bleeding cards say where the bleeding is coming from, roughly how long you have, and what will stop it

๐Ÿ” Food, needs & status

  • Fast food: 99 menu items from Burger Shot, Cluckin' Bell, Up-n-Atom, Taco Bomb, Bean Machine, Rusty Browns, Pizza This, Liberty Style Pizza and Chihuahua Hotdogs, ready for player-run restaurants (meals and whole pizzas unpack into what's inside)
  • Hunger and thirst drain faster: an empty stomach in about 80 minutes and an empty bottle in about 60. Running, swimming and cycling burn through both faster.
  • Buffs: a good meal, a coffee, a hot shower or a night out each leave you feeling better for a while, with a HUD tile while it lasts
  • Stress: gunfights now properly stress you (shooting, near misses, getting hit). Speeding stress only kicks in when you hold 100 mph for 10 seconds.
  • Smoking, drag by drag for joints, blunts, cigarettes, the vape and the bong. LMB takes a drag, RMB moves it between hand and mouth, and holding RMB puts it out (anything left goes back in your pocket).
  • Highs build up gradually and hit harder
  • New substances are on the street. Some of them will take you somewhere strange. Finding out who sells them is up to you.

๐Ÿ  Homes & places

  • Showers: take a GTA Online-style shower at home to wash off and get rid of stress
  • Working TVs: press E on a TV (or use /tv) to watch GTA's channels
  • Up-n-Atom Burger (Vinewood) and Liberty Style Pizza (Vinewood Blvd): full custom interiors with kitchens, staff areas, real doors and real glass
  • Ammu-Nation: full civilian stock (15 handguns, 5 long guns), ammo for every calibre, special rounds, attachments and armour, plus a new gun case and gun cleaning kit. Firearms and ammo need a weapon licence.

๐ŸŒƒ Nightlife

  • Vanilla Unicorn dancers: player dancers now get NPC patrons asking for private dances. Read his cues, keep him happy, and watch out for the wrong kind of customer. Patrons who enjoyed it come back.
  • Street workers: some of the people on the corner can be picked up. Some of them will remember you. Be discreet.

๐Ÿ’ผ Jobs

  • Gruppe 6: Contracts are split by service, back-to-back stops at the same place are merged into one, every fleet vehicle has bandages in the glovebox, and a promotion no longer clocks you off duty
  • Businesses: more setup options, including opening hours, crafting recipes, lockers and uniforms, plus templates for new businesses
  • Merryweather Security is being built (operations, squads, an armoury and the rugged TACNET handheld). It isn't open yet.

๐Ÿ‘• Clothing

  • Female tops, undershirts and bodies now move naturally

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Interface

  • Key hints are now cards: one row per key, with mouse buttons shown and HOLD badges
  • Every old-style prompt is now an E prompt, and NPC markers sit at chest height
  • /logout clears the HUD and minimap
  • The HUD's Armed tile only shows with a gun or throwable in hand
  • Loading screen: the resource counter shows the right number, and the dark edge no longer creeps in

๐Ÿ› Fixed

  • Ambient NPCs (including the street corners) are back across the map. A map pack had been removing them.
  • Witnesses report beatings again, and a fight you start stays assault even when they fight back
  • Long guns on the sling stay on your back while you wear a duty belt
  • Creating a business account no longer fails with a database error
  • Gruppe 6: cases go into the right truck
  • Removed four G6 ATM stops that were inside Fleeca teller counters
  • Fixed a phone error and a HUD error on logout
  • Fixed a smoking prop that came back after the last drag

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Removed

  • The old bank (Renewed-Banking). Fleeca replaces it, and all balances were kept.
  • The radial menu's Vehicle branch (use the I panel)
  • /transfervehicle (use the bill of sale)
  • GTA's level 1-4 performance upgrades in the mechanic workshop
