Getting in
Four steps
- 1
Install FiveM
Download it from fivem.net and point it at your GTA V install. It downloads everything else the server needs when you connect.
- 2
Apply for the whitelist
Join our Discord, read the rules and send a whitelist application with a little about you and the character you want to play. Staff read every one.
- 3
Connect
Once you are accepted, search “Vinewood Hills Roleplay” in the FiveM server list. Your first connect takes a while because of the custom content.
- 4
Make your character
You get five character slots. Pick a body type, dress them, and the new player guide takes it from there.
Your first hour

It walks you through your first steps, checks them off as you go and has a starter grant waiting at the end.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Does it cost anything?
No. Playing on the server is free.
Do I need to apply to play?
Yes. Every player is whitelisted, civilians included. Apply in our Discord. Police, federal agencies, EMS and fire then apply separately for their department.
Why a whitelist?
It keeps the city full of people who came to roleplay. We would rather stay smaller and keep the quality high than fill every slot.
Do I need to install mods?
No. FiveM downloads everything the server uses when you connect.
What does lore-friendly mean?
No real-world brands, logos or cars. Los Santos and Blaine County stay the way Rockstar wrote them.
The server is in alpha. What does that mean?
Systems are still being built and tested, and updates land every few days. Expect rough edges and report what you find.
Where do I report a bug?
In #bug-reports on Discord: one bug per post, with what happened, where and how to make it happen again.
